In KS4 Art & Design and Graphic Design are offered and units of work are planned around themes which students are encouraged to explore in their own way, developing creativity and problem solving skills as well as practical skills in a range of 2D and 3D materials. The creative use of ICT is also taught using Photoshop.
The exams in both subjects are similar to coursework units with an externally set theme, preparatory work done in lessons and then final practical work produced over 10 hours in the art studio.
