Celebrating European Day of Languages

Embracing languages and the challenges posed by learning a language that is not natural to you has been celebrated this week. London Academy Primary students celebrated European Day of Languages with several challenges and activities throughout the week. At the beginning of the week an assembly was held to highlight the different languages in Europe and challenge students to learn how to say hello in various languages. Throughout the week students have been encouraged to sing French songs, reply to teachers in different languages and most importantly have a go (even if they get it wrong).

Thursday saw each class teacher read a story in a different language and on Friday students dressed up in the national dress of their country. It has been fun for staff and students and the vibrant display board showcases their endeavours this week.
