UCL Target Medicine Mentoring Scheme 2020

Congratulations to Aisha Abdullahi and Maryama Abdullahi who have successfully secured places on the UCL Target Medicine Mentoring Scheme 2020.  Competition for one of the 240 spaces was strong with over 800 applications.

Medicine is a competitive course to secure a place on, and the UCL course, we hope, will help give Aisha and Maryama the skills to succeed in their ambitions. The course pairs each student with a current UCL Medical student who will act as their mentor for a whole calendar year. There is a combination of face to face sessions, online programmes and ‘Targeted Medicine Events’ throughout the year. These will help Aisha and Maryama to choose the right medical school; show them how to obtain work experience; help them write personal statements; and give them and understanding of admissions interviews.
