Overview
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is defined as:
- protecting children from maltreatment;
- preventing impairment of children's health or development;
- ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care; and
- taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.
London Academy recognises that we have a statutory responsibility to safeguard students and protect their wellbeing. We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where everyone is respected and valued.
The staff are here to help protect students inside the academy and in our communities, both in the real world and online.
The action we take at London Academy to promote the welfare of students and protect them from harm is everyone’s responsibility. We recognise that everyone who comes into contact with children and families has a role to play in this, and we each take our part very seriously.
