Welcoming prospective Primary parents to London Academy

In late November, London Academy opened the doors to prospective parents to explore the outstanding teaching and learning opportunities available to our students. Parents were invited to tour around the Primary setting at London Academy, which only two years old is modern, state of the art and provides the perfect environment for students to develop a love of learning.

Both the Primary Principal and the Deputy addressed parents to outline our mission which is to ensure a safe and supportive environment for our staff and students and to develop skills and values that enable young children to become respectful, caring and responsible. Through these skills and the opportunities afforded to them they can become ‘Leaders for Tomorrow’.

We understand that part of looking at a new school for your child is trying to get a ‘feel’ for the school and what being apart of the school would be like. The ‘London Academy Experience’ is to make our children’s learning experiences purposeful and inclusive, offering support and reassurance at every step. The Foundation Stage team places emphasis on the acquisition of basic skills – linking with language and physical development, giving them the confidence to explore more challenging tasks.

An important facet of London Academy is being an ‘all-through School’.  As a result the our younger children benefit from the our connections with secondary specialist teachers providing excellent opportunities for sport, languages and the performing arts. Delivering the best possible start to a child’s education is at the heart of everything we do and ensuring specialist support and schemes that suit the needs of our children is an important part of this, some of which include Maths Mastery and Write Dance.
