Oak National Academy – Lesson 8 – What do you think of…? (part 2)
Complete the introductory retrieval quiz and then watch the video. Complete the tasks shown on the video:
1. Listen to the description sentences in French and note down the four correct letters from the grid that form each sentence.
2. Translate the four sentences from the listening task above.
3. Write down 1-4 and listen to the sentences that are being read in French about describing family. Use the grid to note down the full sentences in French. Revise how to describe how many siblings you have in French using the grid.
4. Remind yourself how to say what you like to do in your free time in French using the grid. Play the spot the error game. Listen to the sentences and note down the error that has been made.
5. Write down 1-8. Listen to sentences about activities and opinions. Write down the letter using the grid and the opinion in English. Go through the answers when completed and translate the sentences in English.
6. Deliberate practice: Describe yourself, your family, your interests and your opinions in French (50 words). Use the stuck/support/challenge slides to help you.
7. Look at the model answer and listen to the explanation of it. Copy down new vocabulary and phrases.

Complete the introductory retrieval quiz and then watch the video. Complete the tasks shown on the video:
1. Look at the new free time activity vocabulary and practice learning them with the listening and pronunciation task.
2. Mistranslation task. Write down the corrections of the orange phrases in English 1-5.
3. Opinion phrases and infinitives. Listen to the reminder. Listen to the sentences in Spanish and translate them into English using the grid to help you.
4. Multiple choice listening. Listen to people talk about their free time. Use the grid to write down the correct letter for each person 1-4.
5. Read the three key verbs and translate. Copy the whole table, then fill in the gaps in Spanish while listening to the celebrity descriptions. Do the task again but this time with the new phrases translate the sentences into English.
6. Deliberate practice. Answer the core questions in Spanish. Use the stuck/support/challenge slides to help you.
7. Look at the questions and model answers/sentence starters and practice going through it with the video.
