Principal’s Welcome

It’s a delight to welcome you to London Academy.

I am very proud and honoured to be Principal of London Academy. The uncompromising commitment shared by all to ensure the Academy serves the community guarantees no limit to what can be achieved.

London Academy is a richly diverse and vibrant community of over 1,700 students and 200 staff dedicated to the highest standards and achievements for every young person. Our motto is “Leaders for Tomorrow.”

The education our young people receive is designed to encourage an active participation in shaping the future world through the local, national and – ultimately – international community. We aim to realise the huge potential in students and staff through a relentless focus on learning achieved through continuous effort and practice.

We care about the development of the whole child: academically, emotionally, socially and culturally. In two of the last four academic years of published GCSE results, the academy has been in the top 55 schools nationally. This is a remarkable achievement by all our students, and demonstrates the commitment of our staff to helping them become ‘Leaders for Tomorrow’.

I am also very pleased to say that over 85% of London Academy students go to university (including Oxford and Cambridge), and all others begin their careers in a high-quality alternative, such as an apprenticeship.
