Subjects - The London Academy School
London Academy

Subjects

Our curriculum is designed on the premise that, for students to flourish, they need to acquire and remember knowledge incrementally over time. Once this core knowledge is firmly secured in their long-term memory, they can apply it to each subject and beyond.

Our curriculum is the key lever in addressing social disadvantage; in levelling the playing field between those with social and economic advantages and those without.

Those with a rich and wide knowledge are advantaged. Those without are dependent on those that do. We need to ensure that all London Academy students are equipped with a powerful academic knowledge to liberate them in their life ahead.

London Academy students also need the social, emotional, moral, cultural, spiritual and entrepreneurial development that empowers them to become whoever they choose to be. How does our curriculum achieve this? Through three core elements:

1) Academic Knowledge-Rich Curriculum
2) PSHE Curriculum
3) LA7 (Enrichment Entitlement).
