PE and Sport Premium

This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools.

London Academy has been allocated £19,100 for the 2024/25 academic year.

This funding has been used in the following way:

To provide access to high quality table tennis coaching both during the school day, in the form of subsidised clubs, and entry to tournaments
To allow travel to sporting events, widening participation in competitive sport
To fund swimming provision, including transport and staffing
To provide a variety of clubs, ensuring all students are able to access sport in the way they choose

The London Academy table tennis club is embedded in the school, and as such the improvements it brings are sustained and long-lasting. We have invested in staffing and training to ensure continuity for all of the measures set out above.

The percentage of pupils within our Year 6 cohort who met the National Curriculum swimming and water safety requirements are as follows:

Swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of 25m 33%

Use a range of strokes effectively 31%

Perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations 27%
